FAQ's

The Affinity Scheme is a special benefit program that allows current employees and retired employees drawing a pension from select organizations and approved partners to enjoy significant savings on a range of new MG cars.

  1. Registration: Register with your details and select your associated Affinity partner from the drop-down menu.
  2. Browse Offers: Log in to view the range of cars and current offers available to you.
  3. Configuration and Enquiry: Configure the model that suits you, select a dealer, submit your enquiry, and a dealer will contact you to discuss further details. There is no commitment to purchase at this stage.

Eligibility is extended to:

  • Current permanent direct employees of selected Affinity partners.
  • Retired employees drawing a pension from selected Affinity partners.
  • Immediate family members of the above.
  • Generate your enquiry via the website and submit it to your chosen MG dealer.
  • Provide the necessary proofs of eligibility, including your UK Driving Licence.
  • For employees: Valid UK Driving Licence and a payslip less than 30 days old, showing direct, permanent employment with the Affinity partner.
  • For retirees: Valid UK Driving Licence, proof of Affinity partner pension entitlement (current year pension statement or P60), and proof of ongoing receipt of the pension from the Affinity partner (a recent bank statement, pension payslip, or pension award letter). A P60 does not confirm whether someone is currently in receipt of a pension, it only confirms that pension payments were made during the specified tax year. So, for definitive proof, a combination of these documents is required to avoid any ambiguity regarding eligibility and active ongoing receipt of pension payments.
  • For club members: Valid UK Driving Licence and a valid membership card from the approved Affinity partner organization (subject to terms and conditions).

The following do not qualify:

  • Contracted, self-employed, temporary, or volunteer staff.
  • NHS ID cards, Blue Light cards, Defence Discount Cards (DDS Cards), or general staff ID cards, are not accepted proofs for Affinity entitlement.
  • Retirees not currently drawing on an Affinity partner pension.

For full terms and conditions associated with your specific Affinity partner, please register and view the details on our website.

  • Active Employment with the Armed Forces: A veteran, by definition, is someone who has served in the armed forces and is no longer in active military service. Therefore, they are not actively employed by the Armed Forces. However, some veterans may continue to work in civilian roles within the defence sector or related government departments after their military service.
  • Active Receipt of a Public Sector Pension: Not all veterans are automatically entitled to a pension. Eligibility for a military pension depends on the length and terms of service, as well as the specific pension scheme in place during their service period.

Each veteran's situation is unique and depends on various factors related to their service and the specific terms of their retirement or discharge.

To qualify for Affinity, as with any other customer, a Veteran must provide a payslip less than 30 days old, showing direct, permanent employment with the Armed Forces, or proof of Armed Forces pension entitlement (current year pension statement or P60), and proof of ongoing receipt of the pension from the Armed Forces (a recent bank statement, pension payslip, or pension award letter). A P60 does not confirm whether someone is currently in receipt of a pension, it only confirms that pension payments were made during the specified tax year. So, for definitive proof, a combination of these documents is required to avoid any ambiguity regarding eligibility and active ongoing receipt of pension payments.
