Despite physical showrooms being temporarily closed during lockdown across the UK, Donalds Mazda remains digitally open for all its local customers. With the latest arrival of Mazda’s first battery electric vehicle, the Mazda MX-30, the East Anglia Mazda group is offering a contactless purchasing experience with a number of services available.
The stylish and versatile crossover EV features an AC synchronous electric motor and a 35.5kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers a range of approximately 124miles, plus AC charging up to 6.6kW and DC rapid charging designed to meet 125A Combo Charging standards. With UK deliveries starting this month, the 350 First Edition MX-30s are the debut cars to arrive at Donalds for £27,495^.
With the introduction of Mazda Your Way, customers who are interested in the Mazda MX-30 can engage in live product demonstrations with Donalds in a virtual showroom. Designed to put the customer in full control of their purchasing experience, the flexible product demonstrations allows customers to ask specific questions about Mazda’s first electric vehicle, experience key features such as the MX-30’s freestyle doors, discuss specifications and interior trim levels and view the stylish and sustainable cabin materials, all through the comfort of their home.
For those customers who are already familiar with the Mazda MX-30, Donalds is offering remote consultations to discuss competitive finance packages, plus advise on eligibility for the additional £1,000 Mazda scrappage saving when exchanging an older vehicle*. In addition, customers placing an order for the Mazda MX-30 registered by 31 March 2021 will receive a free NewMotion wall box charger with standard installation^ which can be remotely organised through Donalds Mazda.
To make the car buying process even easier and for added reassurance, customers are able to remotely secure their chosen Mazda MX-30 with a contactless reservation fee and opt to have the vehicle safely delivered to their home using the dealership’s Covid-compliant Click and Collect service.
Daniel Le Cocq commented: “The last few months have been pretty tough with the impact of Covid-19, but there are many people out there who want to buy a Mazda car, have it serviced and get it repaired, and that's what we're here for. We want to reassure our customers that our team will be working hard to support them during this difficult time – whether that’s talking through the Mazda range in our virtual showroom or for essential vehicle repairs – and we will ensure they are able to receive our fist-class in-dealer experience.”
Adding, “The Mazda MX-30 is truly a fantastic car. With its distinctive styling, innovative technology, class-leading interior, driver focused dynamics and now five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, the MX-30 is a stand out addition to the rapidly evolving EV marketplace and we’re confident its fun-to-drive DNA will leave a smile on our customers faces.”
Jeremy Thomson, Managing Director at Mazda Motors UK adds: “Mazda is proud to be part of Red Nose Day, helping to bring more joy to people’s lives and as part of this we have donated an MX-30 for Comic Relief to give away on The Great Comic Relief Prizeathon on the 19th March. Red Nose Day is an amazing initiative that has raised millions for good causes over the last 33 years and we are proud to be able to make a contribution to help raise money this year For more information visit www.comicrelief.com/rednoseday.”
